Pope Francis at Pentecost 2019, during the inauguration of CHARIS, gave this new communion service for the whole Catholic Charismatic Renewal, the mission to promote social action and service to the poor. This is why you are invited to participate in the Youtube meeting organised by CHARIS on 1 July at 12 noon (Rome) on the theme: Charismatic Renewal, social action and service of the poor.
This event is addressed to all participants and witnesses of the Charismatic Renewal, a current of grace in the world for all generations, from then to now. Please make this event as widely known as possible and spread this invitation around you.
This meeting on 1 July is intended to show how communities and individuals – connected to the Holy Spirit and to each other – can discover unforeseen possibilities and participate in the coming of the Kingdom of God, through social action and service to the poor. On 1 July 2022, with video documentaries, we will travel and get close to the poorest in Paraguay (Kkotongnae), Brazil (Shalom), France and Togo (Fondacio), Congo (Via Pacis), Uganda (Holy Trinity Community), India (Dhiya) and Australia (Emmanuel). In order to promote a more fraternal humanity, a universal and welcoming solidarity, concrete social commitments in the Breath of the Spirit, we will receive teachings from the Holy Father, a message from Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa, Ecclesiastical Assistant of CHARIS, and the reflections of Mgr. Angelo Vincenzo Zani, Secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education.
“Whenever you did it to one of the least of these who are my brothers you did it to me” (Mt 25:40).
We pray that God will help us to be ever closer to those in great spiritual and material need. We look forward to sharing this moment of missionary communion together on 1 July.
